Pest Control in Rosenberg, TX
Local exterminators for homes in 77471 and 77469. We handle termites, mosquitoes, roaches, rodents, bed bugs and fire ants, and we explain exactly what we’re doing and why.

Rosenberg Pest Control
Most Rosenberg homes need a quarterly exterior treatment plus targeted work for whatever is active right now. Here, that usually means fire ants after rain, mosquitoes from spring to fall, roaches and roof rats when it cools off, and termite swarms in spring.
The Gulf Coast humidity and mild winters keep pests active almost all year. A licensed technician should inspect first, then treat the cause, not just the bugs you can see. Call (281) 855-7000 or book a free inspection to find out what your home needs.

— About us
Your Local Exterminator in Rosenberg, TX
We’re Pest Control Rosenberg Pros, a Texas-licensed pest control team serving Rosenberg and the rest of Fort Bend County. Our treatments are planned around how pests actually behave here, not a one-size plan written for somewhere else.
Rosenberg isn’t Houston, and it isn’t Katy either. Homes here sit near the Brazos River floodplain, next to retention lakes in neighborhoods like Bonbrook Plantation and Summer Lakes, and on fresh-graded lots in new sections going up every year. Downtown, some buildings date back to the 1890s. Each of those settings brings different pests, and we treat them differently.
Every job is done under the supervision of a Texas certified commercial applicator, as state law requires. Our certified applicator reviews the pest advice on this site.

Pest Control Services in Rosenberg
Pick the pest you’re dealing with. Each page explains how we find it, how we treat it, what it costs and how to prep.
General Pest Control
Quarterly protection against roaches, ants, spiders, silverfish and other common invaders. We treat the perimeter, entry points and indoor problem spots.
Emergency & Same-Day Pest Control
A wasp nest by the front door or a rat in the kitchen can’t wait. Call early and we’ll do our best to get a technician out the same day.
Termite Control
Formosan and native subterranean termites are both active in Fort Bend County. We inspect, confirm activity and protect the slab and framing.
Rodent Control
Roof rats in the attic and mice in the walls. We trap, remove and seal the gaps they’re using to get in.
Cockroach Control
German roaches in kitchens and big “tree roaches” that come in after heavy rain. Different species, different treatment.
Bed Bug Treatment
A careful inspection first, then a treatment plan with clear prep steps and follow-up visits until they’re gone.
Ant & Fire Ant Control
Fire ant mounds in the yard, ant trails on the counter, and invasive tawny crazy ants. We match the bait or treatment to the species.
Spider Control
Brown recluse and black widow spiders hide in garages, closets and sheds. We remove webs, treat hiding spots and cut down the insects they feed on.
Flea Control
Fleas in carpets, pet beds and shaded yard spots. We treat indoors and out, and coordinate with your vet’s pet treatment.
Mosquito & Tick Control
Yard treatments that target where mosquitoes breed and rest, plus tick control for shaded, grassy areas.
Wasp & Yellow Jacket Removal
Paper wasps under the eaves, yellow jackets in the ground or walls. Safe removal and nest treatment. (Honeybees go to a beekeeper.)
Fly Control
House flies and stable flies around homes, barns and food businesses. We find the breeding source and treat it.

Why Rosenberg Homes Get More Pests Than You’d Expect
If you’ve just moved here, the bug pressure can be a shock. It isn’t you or your housekeeping. It’s the setting.
Why do I see more bugs after heavy rain?
Rosenberg sits on low, flat ground beside the Brazos River. The river set a record crest of over 53 feet in 2016 and flooded again during Hurricane Harvey in 2017. When the ground floods:
Does living next to a neighborhood lake mean more mosquitoes?
Often, yes. Many master-planned communities here, including Bonbrook Plantation, Summer Lakes and Summer Park, are built around lakes and drainage channels. Still water at the edges, plus clogged gutters, plant saucers and kids’ toys, gives mosquitoes plenty of places to breed close to your patio.
My house is brand new. Why do I already have pests?
New sections in places like Brookewater and Sendero are built on freshly graded land. Construction disturbs fire ant colonies and pushes rodents and spiders toward the first finished homes. Fresh mulch beds and young landscaping give them cover right next to the foundation.
Are older homes downtown different?
Yes. Historic Downtown Rosenberg has buildings from the 1890s. Older structures have more gaps, older plumbing and more wood. That means more chances for German roaches, rodents and termites to find a way in.
Why don’t pests die off in winter here?
Our winters are short and mild, with only occasional hard freezes. Pests slow down, but most never fully stop. That’s why a once-a-year spray rarely holds in Rosenberg, and why quarterly service is the norm here.
Should I seal the little holes in my brick?
No. Those are weep holes, and they let moisture drain out from behind the brick. Sealing them with mortar or caulk can trap water against the framing. If roaches or mice are using them, fit breathable stainless steel or copper mesh inserts instead.

Mosquito Control in Rosenberg After the 2026 Outbreak Season
This summer was a bad one. After heavy rain and flooding, Fort Bend County Judge Daniel Wong declared a local public health emergency on June 16, 2026, because of extraordinary mosquito numbers. The county ran aerial spraying on June 21 and 22.
On July 1, the county confirmed its first human case of neuroinvasive West Nile virus for 2026, with 36 mosquito samples testing positive. Spraying cut mosquito activity by 83%, but county officials said the season wasn’t over.

Does the City of Rosenberg spray my yard?
No. During peak season, the city sprays within city limits about once a week. The city itself says that spraying doesn’t cover alleys or private property, including apartment complexes and mobile home parks. It also says residents shouldn’t rely on city spraying alone.
In short, the trucks reduce mosquitoes in the neighborhood. They don’t reach the shady spots behind your fence, under your deck or along your back lot line, where mosquitoes rest during the day.
Is West Nile virus a real risk here?
It’s been found in Fort Bend County every year since 2001. The main carrier is the southern house mosquito (Culex quinquefasciatus), which breeds in still, dirty water like clogged gutters and storm drains.
Most people who get infected never feel sick, and serious illness is rare. The risk is higher for older adults and people with weakened immune systems. That’s worth knowing if you live in a 55+ community like Del Webb Sweetgrass or have older family at home.

Termite Control in Rosenberg: Know Which Termite You Have
Two kinds of subterranean termites cause most of the damage in Rosenberg. They swarm at different times, and the difference matters.
| Native (eastern) subterranean termite | Formosan subterranean termite | |
|---|---|---|
| When they swarm | Late winter through spring, during the day | Late spring and early summer, at night (often around Mother’s Day) |
| What you’ll notice | Swarmers near windows or doors in daylight | Clouds of swarmers around porch lights and lit windows after dark |
| How fast they damage wood | Slower, smaller colonies | Faster, much larger colonies |
| Found in Fort Bend County? | Yes | Yes, confirmed by Texas A&M |
How do I know if I have termites?
Flying ants or termites?
Termite swarmers have straight antennae, a thick waist and two pairs of wings of equal length. Flying ants have bent antennae, a pinched waist and front wings longer than the back ones. Not sure? Save a few in a zip-top bag and show us.
What should I do if termites swarm inside?
Don’t panic, and don’t spray the walls. Swarmers themselves don’t eat wood. Turn off outdoor lights at night during swarm season, sweep up the swarmers, and call for an inspection. Swarmers indoors usually mean there’s an active colony feeding nearby.
